# Application Virtualization Sequencing Wizard-Add File Type Association Dialog Box


Use the **Add File Type Association** dialog box to add a file type association for the application. To access this dialog box, click **File Type** associations on the **Configure Application** page and click **Add**. This dialog box contains the following elements.

Use to specify the file name extension for the file type associated with the application.

<a href="" id="file-type-description"></a>**File Type Description**  
Use to specify a brief description of the file type.

<a href="" id="content-type"></a>**Content Type**  
Use to specify a brief description of the MIME type.

<a href="" id="perceived-type"></a>**Perceived Type**  
Use to select a file type.

<a href="" id="confirm-open-after-download"></a>**Confirm open after download**  
Select to confirm that the file is opened after a download.

<a href="" id="always-show-extension"></a>**Always show extension**  
Select to display the extension with the file name.

Select to add the file type to the **New** menu.
